Kiki's House

Kiki woke up to her grandfather calling her name from the bottom of the stairs. He would never come up stairs unless Kiki told him that he could. "Kiki can you get ready and go to Kyoshi for me. There's a person there that has something for me." 'Great, another night where it feels like I didn't sleep at all.' She got up and made her bed got dressed and ate breakfast. While they ate her grandfather gave her the details of her chore. When she finished she headed out the door and to Kyoshi.

Later on in the day Kiki came home to make some food. "Lalala." She gathered ingredients to make some food.

While Kiki was making food, Kitsune sneaked up behind her and covered her eyes. "Guess who?!"

Kiki laughed. "Kitsu I know it's you." She said as she removed his hands from over her eyes. She turned around and sat on the counter. "So how was your hunting trip?"

"I brought back some rabbits! I figured we were low on fresh meat." He pointed to the table, and grinned. "So, what were you making?"

"A salad, I'm too tired to make something else. I know foxes don't eat vegtables but want some?" She said while holding out a bowl of salad.

"Sure. If you made it, I'll eat it. You should go relax. I can make supper for all of us. Go have a seat, and I'll join you when I'm done." Kitsune ushered her to a chair. "Don't move. Just relax, I've got this covered." He smiled.

She sat down since she didn't really have a choice. "Okay, but if you need help I'm here."

Kitsune started wagging his tail. "Okay....I'm gonna make some rabbit stew!"

Kiki laughed. "Okay Kitsu sounds good."

"You and Grandpa know I make the best rabbit stew ever!" He started to prepare the ingredients, "Wanna help? I could use it, actually."

Kiki stood up and walked towards Kitsune. "Sure, so waht do you need help with?"

"I need you to get some more vegtables and chop them for me. I can finish everything else," Kitsune said, "Hey Kiki...Er...thanks!"

"No problem Kitsu." She said as she started to chop up more vegtables.

"Thanks, could you put them in with the rest of the stuff in that pot, please?" Kitsune pointed to the stove.

"Sure thing." She dropped the vegtables into the pot. "Anything else I can do for you?"

Kitsune walked up behind her and gave her a hug. "No that's fine," He let her go and said, "It'll be done in about a half hour. Why not go take a break?"

"Okay," She sat down on the floor, out of Kitsu's way. "So why was grandpa so grumpy today?"

"My day was pretty good. Kyoshi's market place was really busy though. It was hard to find Leon. Speaking of Leon, what do you find so shady about him?"

"He was grumpy because I didn't wake up when I should have. I was supposed to escort you to Kyoshi, as well as stoke the funace at the shop and some other stuff like that." Kitsune stirred the food, "How was your day today?"

"Everything about him seems fake. Don't tell me he sucked you in with that act, I read him like a book." Kitsune smoothed his black kimono, "he's a strange one, lots of power, but I don't think he knows. Did I tell you the story of how I kicked out of Satsumaru?"

Kiki shook her head. "Whatever you say Kitsu..." She fell backwards and layed on the floor. "No you haven't."

Kitsune started to tell her, but then Grandpa entered the kitchen, "Is supper ready yet? I'm starving!" He looked at Kiki on the floor, "Don't lay on the floor! It's dirty, who knows what you have crawling on you now!" Kitsune shook his head, "Grandpa, supper will be ready shortly, you and Kiki should go sit down. I'll dish it out." Kitsune went back to the stove.

KKiki got off the floor, even though she finds the floor more comfortable than the chairs. "Please don't tell me that we're having rabbit tonight. Is that all you know how to cook Kitsune?" Kiki looked at grandpa. "Grandpa! At least he's cooking something. That's more than you do."

Grandpa looked at Kiki' "I run a buissiness and put food on the table! The least you could do is show a little respect!"
